Enrollment Policies

The Hockessin Montessori School is an equal opportunity employer that admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies and other school administered programs.

In an ongoing effort to improve programs for the children we serve, we have established the following enrollment policies.  These are in keeping with the Montessori Philosophy, which stresses the importance of consistency in the child's environment and routine.

* The final year of the Children's House Program (Kindergarten) for 5 and/or 6 year-olds is a 5 FULL day (8:30-2:45) program.

*Returning students and Sibling contracts, for the coming school year, are offered in the middle of February of the current school year.

*Letters to new applicants regarding enrollment for the coming school year are generally mailed in March.

*Once offered an Enrollment Contract, which will outline the costs of your child's school year enrollment, the contract must be returned with the stated deposit by the due date to ensure your child's place in a classroom.

*Multiple, same-age siblings may be placed together in a classroom , if preferred by the parent/legal guardian.
