The Hockessin Montessori School

The Hockessin Montessori School offers several two week Montessori Academic Programs in the summer months.  The Montessori sessions for 3.5 to 5 year olds focuses on maintaining skills, first grade preparation, and concentrating on areas that need special attention such as reading, writing, and mathematics.  The Montessori Program for 6-9 year olds focuses on strengthening academic areas that need attention, in addition to maintaining academic skills throughout the summer.  The Montessori Program for 9-12 year olds also focuses on strengthening academic areas that need attention, in addition to maintaining academic skills throughout the summer.  Each program will focus on academic subjects during the morning, while the afternoons will include group projects, games, crafts, activities and outdoor time.

The Hockessin Montessori School also offers a one week Technology session.  This PC based curriculum will focus on various programs and projects including Introduction to Programming with the ROBOT, photo digital image manipulation, graphics work with the digitizing tablets, and other art programs.
